YON 2020 Day 9: Lisa Aurilio, MBA, MSN, RN, FACHE, NEA-BC

Lisa Aurilio, MBA, MSN, RN, FACHE, NEA-BC, is the Chief Operating Officer at Akron Children's Hospital. Though she doesn't provide bedside care to individual patients, Aurilio says her role as an administrator allows her to care indirectly to patients and families. In her story, Aurilio explains the evolution of her nursing leadership role and how her ability to provide care is filtered through her outstanding team members. An administrator must assure teams have resources (people, supplies, buildings, technology and time) to promote and optimize health for patients and families.
