YON 2020 Day 292: Willow Vidovic, LCCC Nursing Student

In her final semester of the nursing program at Lorain County Community College, Willow Vidovic is fulfilling her goal of becoming a nurse. She plans to continue advancing in the profession.

I am a nursing student at Lorain County Community College (LCCC) scheduled to graduate this December! After graduation, I plan to go back to school to get my BSN. Currently I also work as a PCNA at the Cleveland Clinic. Growing up I always wanted to be a nurse just because of the positive impacts that nurses have on so many people, including myself. There are so many different employment opportunities in the nursing profession. Having earned a nursing degree, there is really nothing you cannot do.

Nursing school is one of the most challenging things I have done in my life, but I would not

change it for anything. To anyone who is planning to become a nurse in the future just remember never to give up on yourself--it will be worth all the hard work! I think the main thing with the nursing profession and/or school is to have a good team of people to work with who support you and help you throughout your journey.
